Construction of a new pavilion at the Perth Polo Club
The Perth Polo Club is proposing to construct a new pavilion and undertake a master plan for Kings Meadow. The proposal includes demolition of existing buildings, realignment of the access track, construction of a car park, connection of the new pavilion to reticulated sewerage and revegetation within a 50-metre buffer to the Helena River.

DBCA has received an application from Perth Polo Club for the construction of a new pavilion.
A copy of the application is available to download below. This proposal was open for public comment from 1 November 2022 to 13 December 2022. Thank you to all who made a submission. If you missed out and would like to comment on the proposal, there will be another opportunity to make a submission once the draft report is available.
The draft report will allow you to see DBCA’s recommendation to the Minister (whether the proposal should be approved or not) and any conditions that may be applied should the application be approved.
- The application will be referred to relevant agencies for comments and advice. These agencies have 42 days to provide a response.
- Once all responses have been received, a draft report will be developed and presented to the Swan River Trust for endorsement at its monthly meeting. The Trust’s recommendation will be included in the draft report.
- The draft report will then be uploaded to this page and members of the public are invited to download and comment on the application. The public have 14 days to make a submission on the report.
- The report will be updated to summarise the details of any submissions received. DBCA’s Director General will consider all submissions made before the report is finalised. The final version of the report will then be uploaded to this page.
- DBCA’s final report and recommendation will be sent to the Minister for Environment for determination.
- Once received by DBCA, the Minister’s determination will be uploaded to this page and the Part 5 Development Application process is complete.
