The Zoological Parks Authority Board is the governing body of the Zoological Parks Authority and is comprised of eight members appointed by the Environment Minister. 

The Board meets regularly and carries out its responsibilities in line with the Zoo's Code of Conduct and the Zoological Parks Authority Act 2001.

Mrs Marion Fulker AM, Chair

Mrs Marion Fulker AM is an Adjunct Associate Professor at The University of Western Australia, a board member of Infrastructure Australia and the former CEO of the Committee for Perth. An experienced Statutory Authority leader, Mrs Fulker is the former Chair of the Conservation and Parks Commission and the Heritage Council of WA. As a result, she brings knowledge and expertise in infrastructure, governance, strategy, urban renewal and transport, and is one of the nation's leading experts on the development of cities.

Mr Tully Carmady, Deputy Chair

Mr Tully Carmaday is a specialist commercial litigator at Williams and Hughes with more than 20 years’ experience. Mr Carmady has been a Director of Williams and Hughes since 2004. Mr Carmady has extensive experience in corporate governance, including advising on issues regarding directors’ duties, conflicts of interest and the conduct of meetings.

Mr Jamie Fini, Member

Mr Fini is experienced across the property and finance sectors and has been the Managing Director of FJM Property since 2015.  Prior to joining FJM Property, Mr Fini held roles in both investment banking and property.  He holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Professor Kris Warren, Member

Professor Kris Warren is a Professor in Wildlife & Zoo Medicine and Academic Chair, Postgraduate Studies in Conservation Medicine at Murdoch University. Prof. Warren has worked in the field of Wildlife, Zoological and Conservation Medicine for over 20 years and was responsible for the establishment of the Conservation Medicine Program at the School of Veterinary Medicine at Murdoch University. Prof. Warren has been a member of the IUCN/SSC Re-introduction Specialist Group since 2001 and IUCN/SSC Wildlife Health Specialist Group (formerly Veterinary Specialist Group) since 2002.

Megan Keep, Member

Ms Megan Keep brings a wealth of philanthropic knowledge. She has more than a decade of experience in fundraising, philanthropy and community relations.

Ms Vanessa Martin, Member

Ms Vanessa Martin is the National General Manager, Diversity, Inclusion & Indigenous Engagement at Compass Group, and Commissioner of the Forest Products Commission. Ms Martin has extensive experience in working in the public, private and not for profit sectors in various senior leadership roles. She is currently Chair of the Marr Mooditj Training Aboriginal Corporation, a Board member on the Swan River Trust, Chairperson of the Noongar Boodjar Language Cultural Aboriginal Corporation and the Chairperson of the Noongar Advisory Company which supports and provides advice to the Trustee on the Noongar Boodjar Trust for the Noongar Native Title Settlement.

Mr Travis Robinson, Member

Mr Travis Robinson is the Chief Operating Officer of Australian Capital Equity. He has 20 years’ experience in leadership in the government and private sector, including as Chief of Staff at the Department of the Premier and Cabinet. Mr Robinson understands the value and importance of stakeholder engagement and brings diverse groups together to achieve common goals and objectives. He has a keen interest in economic and social issues in Indonesia and is the WA Chair of the Australia Indonesia Business Council.

Mr John Pirie

Mr John Pirie is the Head of Facility Management (Western Australia & Resources) at Programmed. He has more than 25 years’ experience in senior executive and board positions across a broad spectrum of industries. Mr Pirie has a clear understanding of commercial, economic, regulatory and political environments, and has successfully implemented corporate improvement strategies, resulting in sustained growth and overall business improvement. He is the current Chair of the not-for-profit organisation, Rosewood Care Group.
