Eligible applicants can apply for grants of between $12,500 and $100,000 for projects running up to two years from 1 July 2025.  An additional $2,500 is available for Aboriginal heritage consultation or engagement with local knowledge holders.

Since 2018, the Community Rivercare Program has funded 89 projects across 47 volunteer-based community groups, with the State Government committing a further $4 million over four years in 2021.
