•    Up to $11 million available in latest round of the Aboriginal Ranger Program

The McGowan Government has launched the Innovation Fund, offering up to $11 million as part of the latest round of the Aboriginal Ranger Program.

The Round 6 grants are available for projects that explore innovative ways to maximise the benefits of the program.

Projects should align with the themes of Protecting Country, Empowerment and Collaboration.

The Aboriginal Ranger Program helps develop community resilience and leadership by providing meaningful employment and training opportunities.

This new round of funding is part of a $66.5 million investment which has created more than 650 ranger jobs on Country since 2017 and supported management of nearly 500 significant cultural sites.

The Round 7 Development Fund will be launched later this year with up to $13 million available for new and emerging ranger programs.
