The Badimia parks and reserves were created under the State Government’s Plan for our Parks initiative, which will create five million hectares of new national and marine parks and conservation reserves across Western Australia.
The draft joint management plan has been prepared by the Department and Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions and the Badimia Bandi Barna Aboriginal Corporation, and covers Lakeside National Park, Lakeside, Barnabinmah, Thundelarra and Gurdurdu conservation parks and Gagarlagu and Biluny Wells nature reserves.
The draft joint management plan will be reviewed in light of the submissions, according to the criteria outlined below. A report summarising the public submissions and outcomes will be made available along with the final joint management plan.
